Jamie lives in Waterloo, but was raised in Hanover Ontario, where he pursued an adolescent dream of playing in the NHL, until he realized that his natural abilities for singing and playing guitar might make it easier to attract the attention of girls. His interest in music was likely genetic, since both his mother and father sang and played. By 10 years old, it was traditional for Jamie and his family to entertain after Saturday night eukre games in the Warren’s smoke-filled basement.
Jamie attended Conestoga College to study Broadcasting but it was winning a regional talent show at London’s Western Fair and a trip to Memphis TN that caused Jamie to determine that he would sing for a living. His first Top Ten hit came shortly thereafter, and a string of hits followed. The current single “She Just Loves To Dance” maintains an almost decade-long presence at country radio, where Jamie’s catalogue is a playlist staple.
“Right Here Right Now”, Jamie's newest CD, is a frank and personal reflection on Jamie’s life experiences, as if the result of a man having a conversation with himself in the mirror. Jamie shares these experiences with audiences when he tours the country on the Wishes For Kids Tour (http://www.wishesforkidstour.com/), appearing with Duane Steele and Willie Mack.
